GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The keeping of an eating house by keepers of an eating house under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Sub-Inspector of Police, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every keeper of an eating house carrying on the keeping of an eating house shall furnish Form VIII to the Commissioner of Police within ten days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of an eating house carrying on the keeping of an eating house shall make an application in Form VIII to the Commissioner of Police within ten days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of an eating house is undertaken, and the Commissioner of Police shall dispose of it within ten days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
