GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The keeping of a hotel by keepers of a hotel under the Maharashtra Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1960, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Deputy Superintending Archaeologist, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every keeper of a hotel carrying on the keeping of a hotel shall furnish Form VI to the Hotel Classification Committee within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of a hotel carrying on the keeping of a hotel shall make an application in Form VI to the Hotel Classification Committee within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a hotel is undertaken, and the Hotel Classification Committee shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Maharashtra.
