GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The sinking of a well on Government land by owners of a well on Government land under the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Patwari, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a well on Government land carrying on the sinking of a well on Government land shall furnish Form 1 to the Tahsildar within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a well on Government land carrying on the sinking of a well on Government land shall make an application in Form 1 to the Tahsildar within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sinking of a well on Government land is undertaken, and the Tahsildar shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of West Bengal.
