GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The keeping of a village shop by keepers of a village shop under the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Extension Officer, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every keeper of a village shop carrying on the keeping of a village shop shall furnish Form 7 to the Zila Parishad within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of a village shop carrying on the keeping of a village shop shall make an application in Form 7 to the Zila Parishad within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a village shop is undertaken, and the Zila Parishad shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of West Bengal.
