GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The treatment of sewage by operators of a sewage treatment plant under the Karnataka Irrigation Act, 1965, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Divisional Canal Officer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every operator of a sewage treatment plant carrying on the treatment of sewage shall furnish Form E to the Government of Karnataka within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a sewage treatment plant carrying on the treatment of sewage shall make an application in Form E to the Government of Karnataka within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the treatment of sewage is undertaken, and the Government of Karnataka shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Karnataka.
