GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The operation of a rural water supply scheme by operators of a rural water supply scheme under the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, 1959, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Panchayat Development Officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every operator of a rural water supply scheme carrying on the operation of a rural water supply scheme shall furnish Form 1 to the Gram Panchayat within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a rural water supply scheme carrying on the operation of a rural water supply scheme shall make an application in Form 1 to the Gram Panchayat within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a rural water supply scheme is undertaken, and the Gram Panchayat shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Maharashtra.
