ORDER

Subject: The import of liquor into the State by importers of liquor under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 10 of 2009), the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi is pleased to order that

1. In the circumstances reported by the Excise Inspector, the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, after careful examination, hereby orders that every importer of liquor carrying on the import of liquor into the State shall furnish Form C to the Excise Appellate Authority within fourteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every importer of liquor carrying on the import of liquor into the State shall make an application in Form C to the Excise Appellate Authority within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the import of liquor into the State is undertaken, and the Excise Appellate Authority shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
