New Delhi, dated the 28th March, 2016

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The import of liquor into the State by importers of liquor under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Excise Superintendent, the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, after careful examination, hereby orders that every importer of liquor carrying on the import of liquor into the State shall furnish Form B to the District Excise Officer within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every importer of liquor carrying on the import of liquor into the State shall make an application in Form B to the District Excise Officer within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the import of liquor into the State is undertaken, and the District Excise Officer shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
