GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The drawal of electricity under open access by open access consumers under the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Electrical Inspector, the Government of Gujarat, after careful examination, hereby orders that every open access consumer carrying on the drawal of electricity under open access shall furnish Form VIII to the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board within twenty-one days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every open access consumer carrying on the drawal of electricity under open access shall make an application in Form VIII to the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the drawal of electricity under open access is undertaken, and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Gujarat.
