GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The collection of Panchayat taxes by collectors of a Panchayat tax under the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Gram Sevak, the Government of Andhra Pradesh, after careful examination, hereby orders that every collector of a Panchayat tax carrying on the collection of Panchayat taxes shall furnish Form 3 to the Gram Panchayat within twenty-one days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every collector of a Panchayat tax carrying on the collection of Panchayat taxes shall make an application in Form 3 to the Gram Panchayat within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the collection of Panchayat taxes is undertaken, and the Gram Panchayat shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
