GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The running of a school by schools under the Karnataka Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1982, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Protection Officer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every school carrying on the running of a school shall furnish Form V to the Juvenile Justice Board within twenty-one days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every school carrying on the running of a school shall make an application in Form V to the Juvenile Justice Board within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a school is undertaken, and the Juvenile Justice Board shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Karnataka.
