GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The taking of a mortgage of agricultural land by mortgagees of agricultural land under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Circle Officer, the Government of Puducherry, after careful examination, hereby orders that every mortgagee of agricultural land carrying on the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land shall furnish Form 5 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every mortgagee of agricultural land carrying on the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land shall make an application in Form 5 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land is undertaken, and the Revenue Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Puducherry.
