GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The running of a cyber cafe by operators of a cyber cafe under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Executive Magistrate, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every operator of a cyber cafe carrying on the running of a cyber cafe shall furnish Form VII to the Licensing Authority within ten days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a cyber cafe carrying on the running of a cyber cafe shall make an application in Form VII to the Licensing Authority within ten days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a cyber cafe is undertaken, and the Licensing Authority shall dispose of it within ten days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
