GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The use of electricity by consumers under the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Assessing Officer, the Government of Gujarat, after careful examination, hereby orders that every consumer carrying on the use of electricity shall furnish Form I to the Ombudsman within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every consumer carrying on the use of electricity shall make an application in Form I to the Ombudsman within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the use of electricity is undertaken, and the Ombudsman shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Gujarat.
