Mumbai, dated the 7th July, 2014

GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

Subject: The running of a canteen by holders of a canteen licence under the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Adjutant, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every holder of a canteen licence carrying on the running of a canteen shall furnish Form B to the Chief Executive Officer of the Cantonment within twenty-one days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of a canteen licence carrying on the running of a canteen shall make an application in Form B to the Chief Executive Officer of the Cantonment within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a canteen is undertaken, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Cantonment shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Maharashtra.
