GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

Subject: The holding of a beauty contest by organisers of a beauty contest under the Maharashtra State Commission for Women Act, 1993, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Child Development Project Officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every organiser of a beauty contest carrying on the holding of a beauty contest shall furnish Form II to the District Child Protection Unit within three days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every organiser of a beauty contest carrying on the holding of a beauty contest shall make an application in Form II to the District Child Protection Unit within three days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of a beauty contest is undertaken, and the District Child Protection Unit shall dispose of it within three days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra.
