Mumbai, dated the 24th January, 2014

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The sale of food by sellers under the Maharashtra Animal Preservation Act, 1977, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Food Analyst, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every seller carrying on the sale of food shall furnish Form C to the Licensing Authority within fourteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every seller carrying on the sale of food shall make an application in Form C to the Licensing Authority within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sale of food is undertaken, and the Licensing Authority shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Maharashtra.
