GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry under the Kerala Irrigation and Water Conservation Act, 2003, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Divisional Canal Officer, the Government of Kerala, after careful examination, hereby orders that every operator of a ferry carrying on the operation of a ferry shall furnish Form B to the Dam Safety Authority within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a ferry carrying on the operation of a ferry shall make an application in Form B to the Dam Safety Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a ferry is undertaken, and the Dam Safety Authority shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Kerala.
