GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The discharge of effluent into a stream by person discharging effluent into a streams under the Maharashtra Water Resources Regulatory Authority Act, 2005, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Assistant Engineer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every person discharging effluent into a stream carrying on the discharge of effluent into a stream shall furnish Form C to the Government of Maharashtra within forty-five days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every person discharging effluent into a stream carrying on the discharge of effluent into a stream shall make an application in Form C to the Government of Maharashtra within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the discharge of effluent into a stream is undertaken, and the Government of Maharashtra shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Maharashtra.
