GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The grant of franchises by franchisors under the Karnataka Money Lenders Act, 1961, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Warehouse Inspector, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every franchisor carrying on the grant of franchises shall furnish Form A to the Registrar of Warehouses within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every franchisor carrying on the grant of franchises shall make an application in Form A to the Registrar of Warehouses within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the grant of franchises is undertaken, and the Registrar of Warehouses shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Karnataka.
