GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

Subject: The carrying on of a self-employed occupation by self-employed persons under the Maharashtra Mathadi, Hamal and Other Manual Workers Act, 1969, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Welfare Officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every self-employed person carrying on the carrying on of a self-employed occupation shall furnish Form 12 to the Employees' Insurance Court within twenty-one days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every self-employed person carrying on the carrying on of a self-employed occupation shall make an application in Form 12 to the Employees' Insurance Court within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the carrying on of a self-employed occupation is undertaken, and the Employees' Insurance Court shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Maharashtra.
