GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The repair of ships by ship repairers under the Tamil Nadu Maritime Board Act, 1995, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Engineer and Ship Surveyor, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every ship repairer carrying on the repair of ships shall furnish Form 4 to the Registrar of Ships within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every ship repairer carrying on the repair of ships shall make an application in Form 4 to the Registrar of Ships within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the repair of ships is undertaken, and the Registrar of Ships shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
