GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The distribution of electricity by distribution licensees under the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Inspecting Officer, the Government of Gujarat, after careful examination, hereby orders that every distribution licensee carrying on the distribution of electricity shall furnish Form VI to the State Commission within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every distribution licensee carrying on the distribution of electricity shall make an application in Form VI to the State Commission within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the distribution of electricity is undertaken, and the State Commission shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Gujarat.
