GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The possession of land by persons in possession of land under the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Revenue Inspector, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every person in possession of land carrying on the possession of land shall furnish Form 1 to the State Government within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person in possession of land carrying on the possession of land shall make an application in Form 1 to the State Government within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the possession of land is undertaken, and the State Government shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of West Bengal.
