GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: Fishing in a village tank by lessees of a village fishery under the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Gram Sevak, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every lessee of a village fishery carrying on fishing in a village tank shall furnish Form 4 to the Director of Panchayats within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of a village fishery carrying on fishing in a village tank shall make an application in Form 4 to the Director of Panchayats within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which fishing in a village tank is undertaken, and the Director of Panchayats shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
