GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The engagement of apprentices by employers of apprentices under the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Act, 1981, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Assistant Labour Commissioner, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every employer of apprentices carrying on the engagement of apprentices shall furnish Form IV to the Registering Officer within sixty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every employer of apprentices carrying on the engagement of apprentices shall make an application in Form IV to the Registering Officer within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the engagement of apprentices is undertaken, and the Registering Officer shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
