GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The running of a diagnostic laboratory by diagnostic laboratories under the Tamil Nadu Private Clinical Establishments (Regulation) Act, 1997, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Assistant Drugs Controller, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every diagnostic laboratory carrying on the running of a diagnostic laboratory shall furnish Form 20 to the Government of Tamil Nadu within twenty-one days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every diagnostic laboratory carrying on the running of a diagnostic laboratory shall make an application in Form 20 to the Government of Tamil Nadu within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a diagnostic laboratory is undertaken, and the Government of Tamil Nadu shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
