GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The working of a port by port authorities under the Tamil Nadu Maritime Board Act, 1995, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Engineer and Ship Surveyor, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every port authority carrying on the working of a port shall furnish Form 1 to the Registrar of Ships within fifteen days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every port authority carrying on the working of a port shall make an application in Form 1 to the Registrar of Ships within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the working of a port is undertaken, and the Registrar of Ships shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
