GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The sinking of a tube well by owners of a tube well under the Bengal Irrigation Act, 1876, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Ground Water Officer, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a tube well carrying on the sinking of a tube well shall furnish Form B to the River Basin Authority within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a tube well carrying on the sinking of a tube well shall make an application in Form B to the River Basin Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sinking of a tube well is undertaken, and the River Basin Authority shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of West Bengal.
