GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The operation of a houseboat by operators of a houseboat under the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Conservation Assistant, the Government of Kerala, after careful examination, hereby orders that every operator of a houseboat carrying on the operation of a houseboat shall furnish Form IV to the Government of Kerala within thirty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a houseboat carrying on the operation of a houseboat shall make an application in Form IV to the Government of Kerala within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand five hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a houseboat is undertaken, and the Government of Kerala shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Kerala.
