GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The display of advertisements by owners of a hoarding under the Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1919, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Building Inspector, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a hoarding carrying on the display of advertisements shall furnish Form B to the Municipal Council within fourteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a hoarding carrying on the display of advertisements shall make an application in Form B to the Municipal Council within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the display of advertisements is undertaken, and the Municipal Council shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
