GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use by person converting agricultural lands under the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Revenue Inspector, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every person converting agricultural land carrying on the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use shall furnish Form 8 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within sixty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every person converting agricultural land carrying on the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use shall make an application in Form 8 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use is undertaken, and the Revenue Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of West Bengal.
