GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The keeping of a cattle pound by owners of a cattle pound under the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Extension Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a cattle pound carrying on the keeping of a cattle pound shall furnish Form 1 to the Panchayat Samiti within twenty-one days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a cattle pound carrying on the keeping of a cattle pound shall make an application in Form 1 to the Panchayat Samiti within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a cattle pound is undertaken, and the Panchayat Samiti shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
