GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The leasing of a village tank by lessees of a village tank under the Karnataka Gram Swaraj and Panchayat Raj Act, 1993, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Extension Officer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every lessee of a village tank carrying on the leasing of a village tank shall furnish Form 2 to the Block Development Officer within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of a village tank carrying on the leasing of a village tank shall make an application in Form 2 to the Block Development Officer within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the leasing of a village tank is undertaken, and the Block Development Officer shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Karnataka.
