Chennai, dated the 27th January, 2009

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The business of a co-operative society by co-operative societies under the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1987, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Seed Inspector, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every co-operative society carrying on the business of a co-operative society shall furnish Form D to the Government of Tamil Nadu within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every co-operative society carrying on the business of a co-operative society shall make an application in Form D to the Government of Tamil Nadu within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the business of a co-operative society is undertaken, and the Government of Tamil Nadu shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Excise Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
