GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The carrying on of a trade by persons carrying on a trade within the municipal limits under the Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1919, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Building Inspector, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every person carrying on a trade within the municipal limits carrying on the carrying on of a trade shall furnish Form G to the Standing Committee within fourteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person carrying on a trade within the municipal limits carrying on the carrying on of a trade shall make an application in Form G to the Standing Committee within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the carrying on of a trade is undertaken, and the Standing Committee shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
