GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The sale of liquor for consumption on the premises by bar licensees under the West Bengal Excise Act, 1909, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Excise Superintendent, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every bar licensee carrying on the sale of liquor for consumption on the premises shall furnish Form B to the Government of West Bengal within twenty-one days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every bar licensee carrying on the sale of liquor for consumption on the premises shall make an application in Form B to the Government of West Bengal within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sale of liquor for consumption on the premises is undertaken, and the Government of West Bengal shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of West Bengal.
