GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The taking of mortgages by mortgagees under the Maharashtra Stamp Act, 1958, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the District Registrar, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every mortgagee carrying on the taking of mortgages shall furnish Form G to the Sub-Registrar within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every mortgagee carrying on the taking of mortgages shall make an application in Form G to the Sub-Registrar within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the taking of mortgages is undertaken, and the Sub-Registrar shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Maharashtra.
