GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The management of an irrigation system by a water user association by water user associations under the Karnataka Irrigation Act, 1965, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Divisional Canal Officer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every water user association carrying on the management of an irrigation system by a water user association shall furnish Form A to the Irrigation Authority within one hundred and twenty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every water user association carrying on the management of an irrigation system by a water user association shall make an application in Form A to the Irrigation Authority within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the management of an irrigation system by a water user association is undertaken, and the Irrigation Authority shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka.
