GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION
Subject: The receipt and payment of Government moneys by treasuries under the Maharashtra Fiscal Responsibility and Budgetary Management Act, 2005, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Audit Officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every treasury carrying on the receipt and payment of Government moneys shall furnish Form GFR 21 to the Accountant General within forty-five days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every treasury carrying on the receipt and payment of Government moneys shall make an application in Form GFR 21 to the Accountant General within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the receipt and payment of Government moneys is undertaken, and the Accountant General shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra.
