GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The finding of treasure by finders of treasure under the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1962, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Survey Officer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every finder of treasure carrying on the finding of treasure shall furnish Form 7 to the Rehabilitation Authority within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every finder of treasure carrying on the finding of treasure shall make an application in Form 7 to the Rehabilitation Authority within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the finding of treasure is undertaken, and the Rehabilitation Authority shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Karnataka.
