Puducherry, dated the 10th July, 2006

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The holding of land assessed to revenue by holders of land under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Surveyor, the Government of Puducherry, after careful examination, hereby orders that every holder of land carrying on the holding of land assessed to revenue shall furnish Form 1 to the Collector within one hundred and twenty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land carrying on the holding of land assessed to revenue shall make an application in Form 1 to the Collector within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of land assessed to revenue is undertaken, and the Collector shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Puducherry.
