GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION
Subject: The standing as surety for a party by sureties under the Bombay Court Fees Act, 1959, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Deputy Registrar, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every surety carrying on the standing as surety for a party shall furnish Form H to the District Judge within twenty-one days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every surety carrying on the standing as surety for a party shall make an application in Form H to the District Judge within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the standing as surety for a party is undertaken, and the District Judge shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Maharashtra.
