GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The publication of news on a digital platform by publishers of news on a digital platform under the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Assistant Press Registrar, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every publisher of news on a digital platform carrying on the publication of news on a digital platform shall furnish Form I to the Press Registrar within fifteen days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every publisher of news on a digital platform carrying on the publication of news on a digital platform shall make an application in Form I to the Press Registrar within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the publication of news on a digital platform is undertaken, and the Press Registrar shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Karnataka.
