GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The administration of the estate of a deceased person by executors of a will under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Sub-Registrar, the Government of Uttarakhand, after careful examination, hereby orders that every executor of a will carrying on the administration of the estate of a deceased person shall furnish Form VII to the Registrar of Marriages within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every executor of a will carrying on the administration of the estate of a deceased person shall make an application in Form VII to the Registrar of Marriages within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the administration of the estate of a deceased person is undertaken, and the Registrar of Marriages shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
