GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

Subject: The distribution of films by distributors of films under the Maharashtra Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1953, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Press Registrar, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every distributor of films carrying on the distribution of films shall furnish Form VIII to the Advisory Panel within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every distributor of films carrying on the distribution of films shall make an application in Form VIII to the Advisory Panel within seven days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the distribution of films is undertaken, and the Advisory Panel shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Maharashtra.
