GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The running of a children's home by operators of a children's home under the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Protection Officer, the Government of Andhra Pradesh, after careful examination, hereby orders that every operator of a children's home carrying on the running of a children's home shall furnish Form VIII to the District Child Protection Unit within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a children's home carrying on the running of a children's home shall make an application in Form VIII to the District Child Protection Unit within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a children's home is undertaken, and the District Child Protection Unit shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
