GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The registration of births and deaths by registrars of births and deaths under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Maintenance Officer, the Government of Uttarakhand, after careful examination, hereby orders that every registrar of births and deaths carrying on the registration of births and deaths shall furnish Form II to the District Registrar within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every registrar of births and deaths carrying on the registration of births and deaths shall make an application in Form II to the District Registrar within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the registration of births and deaths is undertaken, and the District Registrar shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
