GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The management of a waqf by mutawallis under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Conciliation Officer, the Government of Uttarakhand, after careful examination, hereby orders that every mutawalli carrying on the management of a waqf shall furnish Form III to the Registrar of Marriages within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every mutawalli carrying on the management of a waqf shall make an application in Form III to the Registrar of Marriages within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the management of a waqf is undertaken, and the Registrar of Marriages shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
