GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: Home-based work for wages by home-based workers under the Kerala Headload Workers Act, 1978, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Insurance Inspector, the Government of Kerala, after careful examination, hereby orders that every home-based worker carrying on home-based work for wages shall furnish Form 12 to the Regional Board within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every home-based worker carrying on home-based work for wages shall make an application in Form 12 to the Regional Board within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which home-based work for wages is undertaken, and the Regional Board shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Kerala.
